Invest in YOURSELF just a little each day
I don’t miss it!
Yesterday we celebrated thanksgiving with a dinner at my wife’s Baba and Dedo’s home.
Yes in Canada our Thanksgiving is earlier then the US Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

But this isn’t why I’m emailing you, I'm emailing you to tell you about my Thanksgiving dinner.
You see, my wife’s sister was there yesterday, showing up late because she had to work.
And the whole time she was there, she was working, phone call after phone call. That's because she took an extra shift at her job, on Thanksgiving day, instead of getting to enjoy a nice family dinner, so she could make some extra money to pay some bills.
I couldn’t help but relate, as that was me when I worked my 8 to 5 job years before I started on my path to becoming a full time real estate investor. I still remember the many times my boss wanted me to go into work on Sundays, to finish a project, to grow someone else’s business.
I knew I didn’t want to do that for the rest of my life, working when someone else wanted me to work. I wanted to work on my own business, work when I wanted to work, and not work on someone else’s business. It’s what led me to start learning about real estate investing everyday after work. Reading books, joining biggerpockets.com, joining other investors email lists, going to weekend seminars.
Teaching myself about this amazing industry, gathering more and more information, helped me to one day to quit my salary job and become a Realtor, with the goal to then become a real estate investor, which is exactly what I did.
Of course it wasn’t easy, whom wants to invest in themselves after a long day of work. We all have other things to do; such as taking care of kids, lawn work, jobs around the house. Finding the time isn’t easy especially in this day and age with all the distractions we face, TV, social media, Netflix.
But, if you really want to keep working that extra shift, working on Thanksgiving day, then by all means, don’t change anything.
However, if you want to change your life, then start investing in yourself a little each day, and it can happen, it did for me.
I hope it does for my sister in law too!
She obviously would’ve much rather enjoyed a nice family dinner then taking calls from work.
